Services for Bonita M. Elbert, 72, of Wauconda, Ill., formerly of Traer and Waterloo, were held Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1993, at Garden View Chapel in Waterloo with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery. A vigil service was held Tuesday evening by St. John’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Elbert died Sunday, Nov. 7, at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Ill., of natural causes.
Bonita M. Elbert was born Nov. 30, 1920, at Jolley, Iowa, a daughter of Clifford and Myrtle (Cross) Armstrong. She married Arthur Cook, who preceded her in death. She then married James Elbert, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Elbert was employed for more than 35 years as a hair stylist and for 15 years she operated Bon-El Crafts in Traer.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Henkle of Wauconda; one stepdaughter, Shirley Flammang of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her mother of Rockwell City, Iowa.
