RAZEY – GRAY, November 17, 1897
A large circle of friends gathered at the residence of Mr. Alexander Razey in Madison Township Wednesday morning, the occasion being the marriage of his youngest daughter Fannie Jane to Mr. Homer Gray, Dr. Benson of this city officiating. At high noon the friends all being there and everything in readiness, while the march was being played, Dr. Benson led the bridal train into the parlors and after a few appropriate words united the parties in the sacred bonds of wedlock. Congratulations followed after which the bridal party led the guests into the dining room where a repast was prepared in keeping with the occasion. The bride was most beautifully attired in a light tan cashmere, trimmed with lace and light ribbon and was indeed a beautiful bride. Mrs. Gray was reared at the homestead at which she was married, but enjoys an education which she received at the Christian College of LeGrand. She is an accomplished and refined lady, esteemed by a large circle of friends. Mr. Gray was born in Tama and came to this county a few years ago. He is a young man of sterling worth and industrious habits, and there is a promising future before the young couple, to whom their large number of friends wish long life and happiness.
