Born Jul 16, 1893 at Traer, Iowa.

Son of Elmer E. and Ella C. Taylor.

Enlisted May 17, 1918 a Des Moines, IA; entered US Naval Training Station, Great Lakes. First entered Second Regiment Band.

Mustered out Dec 20, 1918, from Second Regiment Band.
