Son of James Oscar and Josie E. Stoddard.

Enlisted June 27, 1918 at Toledo, IA; entered Camp Dodge, first entered Co. B, 351st Inf.

Mustered out June 7, 1919 from Co. B, 351st Inf.

In France Aug 28, 1918; member of the 88th Div., Co. B, 351st Inf; in battles of Haute-Alsace sector; in reserve at the Argonne Forest.

Corporal.
