Born Sept. 23, 1886, in Columbia Township, Tama County, IA.

Son of Henry J. and Margarette Schrader.

Entered service July 24, 1918, at Toledo.

Entered Camp Gordon; first entered Co. M, 330th Inf.

In France Aug 28, 1918; member of Co. B, 11th Inf. In St. Mihiel Drive.

Killed in action Nov 7, 1918, near Sedan.
