Son of Herbert A. and Hattie Saunders.

Enlisted April, 1918 at DeWitt, IA; entered RaheÕs Army Training School; transferred to Camp Jessup and Camp Merritt; first entered Co. B, Q.M. Repair Shop.

Mustered out July 18, 1919.

In France Sep 27, 1918.
