Born Aug 7, 1891, at Gilman, Iowa.

Son of Thomas and Marggart* McIlrath.

Enlisted Jan 5, 1918, at Toledo; entered Camp Green; transferred to Fort Niagara, and Ship Yards; first entered H.Q. Co., 47th Inf., Camp Dix.

Mustered out Jan 23, 1919, from Co. A, 12th Bn., US Guards.

Corporal.
