I'm trying to find out the name and the tribe of my grandmother's birth father. My grandmother was born in Nevada Township, Story Co., IA on 9 March 1878 and her brother was born in IA on 23 April 1876. They were adopted by Mary R. (Bates) and Robert L. Ormsby between 9 March 1878 and 3 June 1880. Their birth father was a full blooded Sioux and their birth mother was a white woman. On 5 Sept. 1896 my grandmother married my grandfather, William Alfred Matson at Danbury, Red Willow Co., NE. At that time my grandmother's place of residence was Cedar Bluffs, Decaur Co., KS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Paul
