Hello. I am trying to find the wife of George W. (or perhaps M.) Barnes. His parents were Orlando and Saloma Barnes. George had a daughter, Ada, born in Iowa in 1870 according to the 1880 census. Ada is my great-grandmother, but it seems her mother either died or divorced from George and I am unable to find a good record. Ancestry.com has some information, but I have reasons to doubt the public trees' information--which typically suggest a Josephine Campbell was George's wife. What might be the best place for me to go online to perhaps find this information. I don't live in Iowa. Thank you!
