I don't know much about the Hipsher's, but found a family in Story County, Iowa listed in the 1856 county census. There was an Ammon age 37, Susan age 37, both born in Penn., Elnora(Ellenory) age 6, Ovilla (Aurella), age 4, Mahala, age 2 - all born in Ohio and Melvina age 0 born in Iowa. In 1860 census an Adam Hipshire, age 81 was living in the household.Mahala married my GG Uncle Jacob Noble on 11-17-1872. I know nothing of them since.
