I am researching the family of James ROBERTSON who lived near Nevada, Story, IA from about 1867 onwards. James ROBERTSON was a Scottish immigrant who married Elizabeth Smithers in 1857. Their children were Catherine, Harriette (Hattie), Mary Jane, James, Alice (all born in Indiana), Nevada, Ida, and Iowa (all born in Story Co.)

Harriette m. Chester Van Horn
Mary Jane m. Lucius Heffron
James m. Ida Huffman (this family continued in the area)
Iowa m. James Prouty

I am descended from Mary Jane and am in touch with someone who is descended from Harriette.
