High School for Kelley in 1927

My father in law, Burness A Holland, graduated high school probably in 1927. At that time he lived in Kelley, Iowa. Where would he have attended high school in 1927? All I have been able to find is that there was a consolidation in 1959 and the high school was then Ballard High in Huxley. Is there any info available on the high school before that?
