Hi Patty,
I was shocked to go to the story board after not going for obviously a very
long time and finding a post from you in response to one I had made. It is
from 2003 though so I don't imagine you have this address still. Mine is
certainly changed and I am so sorry I missed this post.I have no photos of Mary J nee Green Bryant (nor my Bryant Family) but do have census, cemetery
photos etc and know something of each of Mary and Franklin's children. IF I
am lucky and this is still you're address, we could compare notes. When did
James B Green die? I have all the census for Mary J, but though she is with
her daughter Glendora and son in-law Rolland Wallis and their son Rolland in
1925 Story, Ames, IA, we've been unable to find them or Mary in 1930 and
Mary according to her grave stone picture that I had taken (along with
others) has that she died 1940. Mary J. Bryant the daughter is in
Wadsworth, I'd have to look at the years but by then of course she is Mary
Farnsworth. I was able to learn Mary's married name and where William and Herbert Bryant were from Glendora Bryant Wallis's obituary from 1945. Glendora and Rolland are also buried at that cemetery. Glendora's death is reported in a newspaper to have been made known to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wallis of Ames in 1945. I realize that J. G. Wallis is Rollands father.Even Glendora and Rolland Wallis are a mystery when it comes
to their son(s). confusing since at the marriage of Glendora and Rolland it
is said a first marriage for both. Glendora's 1945 Obituary says she has an
only son Rolland B. Wallis and he's in Chicago and the obit names a
granddaughter, Mary Jo Wallis, same place, Chicago. In Rolland's obituary there are two sons, one Rolland B in OH and the other
is Jack in Ames and that is 1958. Jack in order to be the one notified of
Glendora's death in 1945 be married has to be born in the 1920's.Jack doesn't show in 1925.
So where is Jack!! ANYONE know anything about Jack?As always more questions than answers.
R. S. Wallis and Glendora are in the 1925 Iowa, Story, Ames Ward 2 census.
Jack doesn't show in 1925.

for JG Wallis (father to Rolland) parents listed as Jane Grills, Jno Wallis (I am lucky to have some england census for them.)Glendora Wallis 1915, Story, Ames, 8 yrs Grammar sch, 4 High Sch..b. Iowa,
methodist, fb Ill, mb NJ age 27
For R S Wallis, parents M Schannel, J G Wallis. What am I missing. Generous look up did find an Obit for Rolland Wallis in
the clipped obit's collections at the Nevada Library.
That names his wife that survives and two sons, Roland B, of Akron, Ohio and
Jack of Ames, a sister Mrs. C. R. Kinney of State College, Penn, and two
grandchildren.
also
we have never been able to locate them in 1930, so no clue when Jack is born. Mr and Mrs. Jack Wallis is notified according to the Ames Daily Tribune
in 1945 of the death of Glendora Bryant Wallis. I know that Rolland's father is still alive in 1930 but he is 71 in that census so could still be alive when Glendora died. I neglected to record his death in the treee OR didn't find it, not sure which. We have info on Mary and Fordyce Barker Farnsworth and Herbert Dent Bryant
and William Bryant, the other kids of Franklin and Mary Bryant. Has to be
someone somewhere with the parental information for Harriet, (aka Rachel) (Fisher) Bryant who is Franklin Pierce Bryant's mother but
boy I can't figure it out.I have no idea where Mary J. Green Bryant died. I have no idea
where Franklin died. I seem to remember being told that there isn't a death
recorded for Franklin in Story county. ? Can only record for certain where
he is buried, don't want to assume that is where he died. Surely there is an obituary somewhere for Franklin and for his wife Mary? I do have census
and children and so on for the other kids of Franklin and Mary.
Hope this gets to you! I look forward to hearing from you.

My Great Grandmother, Almatia Bryant Spencer is sister to Franklin P.
Bryant. Also, sister Emma Bryant married George Kerr and James it appears
