Obituary

Nellie Oretta Hall, third child of James and Hannah Hall was born near Maxwell, Iowa October 11, 1866 and departed this life at her home near Collins September 28, 1918 at the age of 51 years 11 months 16 days. She was united in marriage to Wm Denniston, March 13, 1888. To this union were born four children., Mrs. Grace Hay of Collins, Mrs. M--- Edwards of Maxwell, Mrs. Alta Dodd of Mingo and Estellene. All of them are left with the father to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. She also leaves an aged mother, two sisters and two brothers, Frank Hall of Redfield, South Dakota, Mrs. Al--- Wood of Maxwell, Mrs. Mary Carpenter of Palouse, Washington, Le--- Hall of Elwell two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In early life she was converted and untied with the Presbyterian church until her marriage then changed her membership to the Church of Christ which she has lived a faithful christian life to the end faithful in both Sunday School and church. She was always willing, ready to do whatever was to be done and was a friend to everbody.

Funeral services were held from the Christian Church at Maxwell conducted by Rev. Loren Howe of Storm Lake assisted by Rev. W. E. Purdy at the Christian church at Maxwell and Rev. C.R. Moore of the Christian church of Collins. Pall bearers were, Fred McClintock, Charles Ray, George N---, Cecil Scott, Ned Pearson and J--- Miller. Ineterment was in the Maxwell cemetery.
