THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, February 11, 2006.

Ronald P. Ogden, 71, of Ames, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Mary Greeley Medical Center of complications of Parkinson's disease. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Heartland Baptist Church in Ames with Pastor Randy Abel officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens.

Ronald was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Iowa City to Joseph and Florence (Skeers) Ogden. He married Kay Moklebust Aug. 10, 1957, in Ames. He attended Pleasant Grove Church northeast of Ames for many years and now attends Heartland Baptist Church.

He was a truck driver for Doughboy Industry for 20 years and the Iowa DOT for 18 years. He was a past member of Nevada Whirlers and played traditional music with various groups.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Ogden of Ames; two daughters, Carol (Larry) Allen of Randall and Cindy (Roberto) Dela Rosa of Ames; five grandchildren, Dean Mann of Nevada, Kelly Scott of Ames, Cathy Mann of Norwalk, Brandon Allen of Des Moines and Victoria Allen of Madison, Wis.; one great-grandson, Dennis Scott; and his twin brother, Donald (Dorothy) Ogden of Ames.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-granddaughter, Vivian Scott; two brothers, Arthur and James; and two sisters, Kathryn Strum and Dorothy Morris.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Parkinson Foundation.
