TRI COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 19, 2006.

Ruth W. Alleman, 88, of Madrid, formerly of Slater, died Jan. 12, 2006, at Madrid Home. Funeral services were held Monday, January 16, 2006, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater with the Rev. Heidi Williams officiating. Burial was at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Ruth was born in Chicago, IL, on May 28, 1917 to Nels and Mable (Anderson) Lund. She married Arnold Alleman on March 2, 1941 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and music. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she enjoyed her church circles.

Immediate survivors include a daughter, Barb (Rod) Kaltenheuser, of Kelley; one sister, Ellen (Don) Boda, of Slater; two brothers, Dale (Dorothy) Lund, of Slater, and Alvin (Barbara) Lund, of Polk City; a stepbrother, Glenn (Janice) Roxberg, of Clive; granddaughters, LeAnn (George) Markley, of Huxley, and Stacie (Dan) Price, of Slater; five great-grandchildren, McKayla, Alexa and Olivia Markley, and Rylie and Nate Price.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Lloyd and Roy.

Adams Funeral Home in Ames was entrusted with arrangements.
