Word has been received of the death of Leslie C. (Skinny) Smith, 63, Glendale, CA. A former Ames resident, he died in CA Dec 15 1979, of an apparent stroke.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 19, from Stevens Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born Nov 18, 1915, in Ames, IA to Ernie and Nellie Smith. He married Doris Smith Nov 8, 1935, in Marshalltown, IA. They moved to CA 35 years ago.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard and John, both of Portland, OR; two daughters, Linda Pameino, and Debora Durkee, both of Glendale, CA; three brothers, Dale of Nevada, IA, Forrest, of Rochester, MN, and Don of Glendale, CA; two sisters, Patricia Myers and Leona Warren, both of Ames, IA; and seven grandchildren.
