Earney E. Smith, 80, 114 Sumner Avenue, Ames. IA, died at home early Tuesday, Apr 9, 1963.

Born in Iowa Center, Mr. Smith came to Ames in 1924 and worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad until retirement in 1941.

Survivors include; His wife, Nellie, six sons, Forrest of Rochester, MN, Russell of Ames, IA, Leslie and Donald of Glendale, CA, Dale of Nevada, IA, and Eddie or Garner, IA; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Patricia) Myers of Glendale, CA, and Mrs. Russell (Leona) Warren of Ames, IA; one brother, Glenn Smith of Rochester, MN; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one grandson, two granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be at the Adams Funeral Home, 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. E.E. Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Pilot M. uoCdneemEE!F in the Pilot Mound Cemetery, Pilot Mound, IA.
