THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, December 10, 2005.

Dean Pelz, 67, of Bloomington, Minn., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 7.

He was an avid cyclist. Dean was also a longtime band director in Iowa and Colorado.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; a daughter, Angela (Robert) Gast; a son, Benjamin (Mary) Fenderson; six grandchildren; two sisters, Madalyn Staupe Traun and Linda (Bill) Burns; a brother, Larry Pelz; and many other relatives and friends.
