THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, November 24, 2005.

Edwin V. Osborne, 102, of Independence, formally of Ames, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 21, at West Village Care Center in Independence following a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at First Baptist Church in Independence. Dr. David Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory in Independence and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church. Online condolences may be sent to

Local survivors include one daughter, Ruth (Eugene) Harris; and two grandsons; Waynes (Susan) Harris and Van (Daria) Harris all of Ames.
