THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, November 23, 2005.

Laverne E. Nielsen, 90, of Ames and formerly of Harlan, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, in Ames. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, and the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Kimballton.

He is survived by one daughter, Ardith (George) Forsyth of Nevada; two brothers, Ivan Fiscus and Wayne (Violet) Fiscus of Kirkman; two sisters-in-law, Madge and Kathryn Fiscus of Harlan; two grandsons, Eric (Michelle) Forsyth of Monterey, Calif., and Gerogry (Christine) Forsyth of Newton; and four great-grandchildren, Max and Kate Forsyth of Monterey, Calif. and Emily and Anna Forsyth of Newton.
