JOS. ERICKSON DIED TUESDAY
Joseph E. Erickson, 65, native son and former resident of northern Story county, died at Mercy hospital, Mason City, Tuesday noon, as a result of leukemia, from which he had suffered since Christmas.
The deceased was born on a farm south of Roland and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Erickson, who lived in Story City for many years. He continued to make his home in this county as a young man, but for the past 25 years had lived on a farm near Kanawha, where he reared a family of six children.
He leaves his wife, four sons and two daughters. The daughters are Mrs. Gifford Michaelson of Radcliffe and Mrs. Everett Wicks of Ellsworth, while the sons are Ernest of Belmond, and Gaylord, Bert and Jordan, all of Kanawha.
He also leaves three sister, they being Mrs. M. A. Swanson of Des Moines, Mrs. L. O. Jacobson of Story City, and Alma Erickson of Des Moines.
