OBITUARY OF RASMUS G. LARSON
Rasmus G. Larson was born in Story City June 10, 1866, and had reached the age of 74 years, 7 months and 11 days at the time of his death on Jan. 21, 1941.
He moved to Pipestone county, Minn. with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric R. Larson, when he was about 21 years of age, and located near Ihlen.
He was married to Christine Berglund 46 years ago. The couple lived on a farm near Ihlen until 18 years ago when they moved into Ihlen and Mr. Larson became associated with Otto Kranf in the hardware business. For the past year Mr. Larson had not been active in business on account of his health.
Mr. Larson was a member of the Pipestone County Board of Commissioners for 12 years and was also at one time a member of the Child Welfare board.
He is survived by his widow; three brothers, Erick and P. S. Larson of Minneapolis, and Albert Larson of Story City; and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Duea and Hannah Larson both of Minneapolis.
