Obituary of Mrs. Knute Severeid

Aselena Jensen was born in Benton county in June, 1867, and departed this life July 13, 1932, being thus a month over sixty-five years of age. In 1883 she came to Story county with her parents, then went back to Benton county for a couple years, returning here in 1891.

In 1905 she was united in marriage to Knute Severeid, and to this union three children were born, Mamie, Harry and Ellen, who with the husband survive her. She also leaves to mourn her death three brothers and two sisters, namely Ed, Jim and Mrs. Nels J. Nelson of this place, Andrew of Cherokee and Mrs. Felix Archibald of Duluth, Minn.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, a short prayer service at the home and the regular service in Grace church, Rev. Fuller officiating. He took for his text the words of David: "My trust is in the Lord, and I will not fear what man can do to me." Singing was by a quartet consisting of Mrs. James, Helen Hill, Ruth and Alice Fuller, with Margaret Fuller at the piano. Mrs. James rendered a solo, "Shall You, Shall I?" The pall bearers were: Gust Ness, Fred Jensen, Nels Jewell, Martin Jensen, Ole Thorsbakken and Lewis Mathre.

Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery.
