MRS. A. M. FLATTEBO DIED AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Andrew M. Flattebo died early last Friday morning, Jan. 31, at her home here, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She was born in Hardanger, Norway in 1865, and came to America in 1890. In August, 1890, she was married to Andrew M. Flattebo, in the St. Petri church by Rev. N. Amlund. To this union were born seven children; two have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, three sons, Severine, Sherman and Martin, and two daughters, Mrs. W. C. Heintz jr. of State Center, and Mrs. W. F. Koontz of South Bend, Ind., besides four grandchildren.
She spent her entire married life here. Ten years ago she was stricken with creeping paralysis, and five years ago suffered a stroke, which left her entirely helpless. During the last month of her illness she gradually grew weaker, and the end came very peacefully.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Immanuel church, Rev. T. T. Heimarck officiating. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Heintz Sr. and daughter Kathryn of Collins; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mosness and Valda, Mrs. L. C. Inman and Mrs. E. S. Alber, all of Ames; Mr. and Mrs. John Jondall of Roland; Mrs. W. F. Koontz of South Bend, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Heintz Jr. and Maxine of State Center.
Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.
Blessed be her memory.
