Obituary of Mrs. Peder Frette
Mrs. Peder Frette was born at Sandei, Hardanger, Norway, Feb. 17, 1843 and died at Story City, Iowa, May 29, 1920, being 77 years old. In 1866 she was united in marriage to Peder Frette. To this union was born 9 children, of which one is dead, the living are: Sam Frette, Hubbard; Ole Frette, Story City; Mrs. E. Holland, Randall; Rasmus Frette, Randall; Regena Frette, Story City; Ed. Frette, Rosendale, and Mrs. M. Townswick and Mrs. P. Quam, both of Story City.
With her husband she came to America in 1870. They settled northwest of Story City where they lived until 11 years ago when they moved to Story City. Her husband died 9 years ago. Besides her children, she also leaves 28 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Frette was a home loving Christian mother and a faithful member of Bethel church, June 1, 1920. Her pastor, G. O. Paulsrud officiated.
