Oscar Henderson, well known pioneer citizen of Story City, passed away Saturday evening, after two weeks of illness, having suffered a stroke of apoplexy Sunday, October 25.
The deceased was born March 17, 1850, near Lisbon, Ill., and came to Iowa in 1858. After he had grown to manhood he engaged in farming two miles east of Randall, which farm he still owned, and about ten years ago retired from the farm and moved to Story City. He was married again in 1892 to Bertha Bergeson, who survives him. The surviving children are Milton, Richard, Henry, Burton, Lincoln, Celia and Ruby.
