OBITUARY

Miss Anna E. Jackson was born in Clinton county, Pa., August 26, 1853, and passed away in the sanitarium at Story City, Ia., Dec. 21, 1918, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 25 days.

In the year of 1864 she came with her parents to Cedarville, Ill. Here she lived until the year 1881 when she came to Iowa, making her home at her brother-in-law's, H. M. Springman's, until a little over a year ago when the Springman home was broken up by the death of Mrs. Springman. Since then she has been cared for in the Old People's home in Story City, where her every want was supplied, and the best of services were tendered her. She had been in poor health for years, suffering all the time, and at times her life was in the balance, but by her determined will power and by medical skill and to the surprise of her friends she rallied.

In 1876 she united with the Methodist church in Cedarville, Ill., but when she came to Iowa, she placed her membership with the Evangelical church at Center school house. Then under Pastor Smay, she with others, was transferred to Grace church in Story City.
