LOUISE NYGAARD.
Louise Nygaard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Nygaard departed this life Thursday, Jan. 9, after an illness which had extended over a period of nearly two years. Death to her was not unexpected and found her ready and willing to enter into the rest prepared for those who love the Lord. The funeral services were held in the St. Petri church Sunday afternoon, Revs. Smedal of Roland Guttebo of this place preaching the sermons and a large number of the old and young friends of the departed were present.
Louise Nygaard was born in Story City Dec. 10, 1887, being thus a little more than 20 years old. She graduated from the Story City high school last spring, and in this connection we will append a few paragraphs from her teacher, Miss Maude Wakefield, written last Saturday.
"Louise was a dear sweet girl. One whose friendship was as true as gold, and whose ready hand and pleasant smile greeted you in all times of adversity, or pleasure.
"As a student her ever readiness to perform any task before her, her cheerfulness, and helpfulness, I can never forget.
"She surely was one of God's chosen ones, and today is enjoying the rest, comfort and home prepared for her by Our Father.
"Let us rejoice over her victory, and profit by the many lessons of cheer, and self-sacrifice she has left us."
