OBITUARY
MRS. ASKEL PERERSON. [SIC]

Mrs. Askel Peterson [sic] was born in Hardanger, Norway, seventy-six years ago. She immigrated to America in 1861, settling in Illinois, where she lived for five years and where she was married. With her husband she came to Iowa in 1866, living for a time in Story county, but later settling in Hamilton county just north of Story City, where they lived most of their life. The pas two years they lived in Minnesota, near Willmar.

She had been ailing for two years or more, but the sickness which brought death dated back only about four months. She leaves an aged husband and three children to mourn her departure. The children are Mrs. Martin Miller and Mrs. John P. Brakke of Ft. Dodge and Oscar J. Peterson of Willmar, Minn.

Funeral services were held in the St. Petri church last Thursday afternoon, the remains having been brought here for burial.
