OBITUARY
Horace Robinson was born in Goodground, L. I., March 25, 1849. At the age of six years his parents moved to Henry county, Illinois, where he lived until grown, when his parents moved to Hamilton county where he aided his father in the operation of a flouring mill.
July 23, 1876 he was united in marriage to Elsie Barr. March 1st, 1884, they moved to a farm near Ames. In October 1889 they moved to Gilbert where he engaged in the butcher business.
During middle life he was converted and joined the M. E. church. At Gilbert he with his family united with the Presbyterian church.
The last few years his health had been failing. January 21st he started to visit his brother Henry in Alvin, Texas, in hopes that the change in climate would be beneficial. He arrived at his brother's on Tuesday in a very weakened condition from which he never rallied and he died at seven o'clock Wednesday evening.
He leaves two brothers, Henry at Alvin, Texas, and Frank at Fort Payne, Ala., a sister Mrs. Eva Winslow at Motley, Minn., a wife and seven children, Benjamin who lives at Carroll, Mrs. Walter Michaelson of Nevada, Mrs. Ernest Shepard, James, Maude, Blanch and Eva of Gilbert.
