MRS. CHAS. WILSON DIED AT GILBERT
Funeral of Pioneer Lady Held Monday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mrs. Chas. Wilson, 81 year old, who died at her home in Gilbert Saturday noon at the Gilbert Congregational church and were conducted by the Rev. John P. Himmel. Burial was in the Gilbert cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born Emma Lusk at McConnell, Ill., Dec. 29, 1847. In 1868 she was married to Charles Wilson. The couple settled on a farm a mile west of Gilbert in 1869, and lived there for 40 years. In 1909 they moved to Gilbert. Mr. Wilson died in 1921.
Mrs. Wilson had been in ill health for six years and had been ill with stomach trouble for the past six weeks. She is survived by three daughters, Jessie, with whom she made her home; Mrs, Ira Dodds of near Gilbert; and Mrs. J. W. Jenkins of Jordan; one sister, Mrs. Isa Sisson of Gilbert and one brother, Edward Lusk of Hazel, S. D.
