OBITUARY
Mrs. O. T. Reisetter
(Radcliffe Signal)This town and community is again called upon to mourn the less of one of its most esteemed ladies, Mrs. O. T. Reisetter, whose death occurred on Monday morning of the present week, following an illness of several months. During the first months of her illness she was tenderly cared for at home by her husband and Mrs. Tilmer Reisetter, and during the past two months she has been at the Story City hospital, where she was cared for by the hospital attendants and by the loving hands of her sister, H. D. Tyler, who was her constant companion during the last months of her illness.
Although knowing that her affliction was of an incurable nature, and that the end must soon come, Mrs. Reisetter has endured her suffering with fortitude and patience, and passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour.
Mrs. Anna Reisetter was the daughter of r. and Mrs. Lars Mathre, who preceded her in death. She was born near Story City, December 31, 1877, and the greater part of her life was spent in the community. On September 22, 1922, she was united in marriage with O. T. Reisetter, of this place, and since that time Radcliffe had been her home. During her residence here she has endeared herself to a very large circle of friends and relatives, who are deeply moved by the untimely passing of this most estimable friend and neighbor.
Early in life she became a member of the Lutheran church, and member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, and when her health permitted took an active part in the work of the church. She was a member of the Gleaners Mission Society and of the church choir.
She is survived by her husband Mr. O. T. Reisetter, six sisters, and one brother, Mrs. Clarence Smith of Story City, Ia., Mrs. J. H. Hooper of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Tobie Scott of Radcliffe, Lewis J. Mathre, Mrs. H. Knutson, Mrs. G. H. Amlund, all of Story City, Iowa, and Mrs. H. D. Tyler of Los Angeles, California.
The large attendance at the funeral service, held at Our Savior's church, at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon gave silent testimony of the high esteem in which the deceased was held in this community. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. B. K. Barstad, assisted by Rev. Heimarck, of Story City. During the services the choir sang tenderly and feelingly, "Come You Disconsolate," "I Know of a Sleep," and "Still With Thee," and Mrs. R. R. Gaard sang the beautiful solo, "Consolation," by Carrie Jacob Bond.
Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery, located southwest of Radcliffe.
