Obituary.

Mrs. Peter (Ellen) Emberg was born Nov. 28, 1861 in Helsingland, Sweden. In the year of 1882 at the age of 20 she came to America. A year later, on Nov. 28, 1883, she was united in marriage to Peter Emberg ad to this union were born two sons, John of Madison, S. D., and Edwin of Madrid.

Last Nov. 28 Mr. and Mrs. Emberg celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary. God has been gracious in sparing them to each other these many years.

Mrs. Emberg was converted to Christ in 1880 and for many years has been a member of the Madrid Evangelical Free church. When able she often worshipped there. The last few years she had been confined to her home.

She was a cheerful and energetic person. Little time had she for idleness. She was kind and loving. Although unable to be present at the services of late years yet she faithfully contributed to the Lord's work.

Of late she had been constantly growing more feeble but was able to be up and around even unto the very last. On Thursday during the quiet hours of the night her soul departed to the land of perfect day there to dwell with the Lord. She has finished her course, having attained the ripe age of 86 years, 4 months and 2 days.

She leaves to revere her memory her husband, Peter Emberg, 91; two sons John of Madison, S. E. and Edwin, at home; one sister, Martha Peterson of Granite Falls, Minn.; a brother, Jonas, in Sweden, and many relatives and friend. Peace be to her memory.
