THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, October 12, 2005.

Maxine McKenna, 91, of Huxley and formerly of Ames, died Sunday, Oct. 9, at Madrid Home in Madrid. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames with the Rev. David Digby officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Maxine McKenna was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Tingley, to Roy and Mae (Lanham) Smith. She married Evert Charles McKenna June 11, 1932, in Princeton, Mo. She was a member of First Christian Church. She worked as a draftsman at the DOT.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and one cousin.

She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant son, Lowell, in 1941.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 tonight with the family present from 5 to 7 at Adams Funeral Home.

Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
