Rites at Huxley For Andrew Lande

Funeral services for Andrew Lande, 74, were held at the Fjeldberg church in Huxley Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. M. H. Rye.

A trio composed of Mesdames E. D. Hall, M. H. Rye and Cecil Henderson sang two number, "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Touch of His Hand."

Burial was in the Fjeldberg cemetery.

Obituary.

Mr. Lande was born Nov. 17, 1877 on a farm south of Huxley and passed away from a heart attack at the Woodlawn Nursing home in Des Moines on Oct. 13.

He was united in marriage to Sena Slattenow on May 17, 1917.

Mr. Lande was custodian of the Fjeldberg church for 20 years and caretaker of the cemetery for five years.

He is survived by his wife, Sena, in Des Moines; one son, Ardo, and three grandsons in Huxley, and five brothers: Louis of Albert Lea, Minn., Jacob of Wheaton, Minn., Edward of Forest City, Tom of Huxley and Bentley of Ames.
