Services Monday For Andrew Larson

Funeral services for Andrew Larson were held Monday afternoon. There was a prayer service at the home at 1:30 followed by services in the Palestine Lutheran church, near Huxley, at 2 o'clock.

Rev. Harry Stoutland sang "Under His Wings" at the home, and "Jesus Still Lead On" at the church. Mrs. Selmer Westvold sang "Behold a Host Arrayed in White." Pastor Stoutland officiated at the services.

The beautiful floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. Ole Brendeland, Mrs. Fred Sydnes and Mrs. Milton Dobbe.

Casket bearers were Lawrence Larson, Osmond Larson, Jr., Lester Larson, Rudolph Larson, Noel Larson and Edward Larson, all nephews of the deceased.

Interment was in the Palestine cemetery.

Obituary.

Andrew Larson was born July 7, 1881 in Polk county. He was the son of Lars and Randy Larson.

Mr. Larson had reached the age of 73 years, 2 months and 22 days, passing away at his farm home Thursday afternoon, Oct. 29, at 2 o'clock of a heart attack.

He was united in marriage to Nellie Michelson on Feb.2, 1910.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie, three brothers, Osmond, Lewis and Henry, of Huxley; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Flugum of Forest City and Carrie Larson of Des Moines.

His parents, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Larson had been engaged in farming all his life. He was baptized and confirmed in the Palestine church, where he had been an active member all his life.

Those from a distance in attendance at the services were Mr. and Mrs. Severt Nervig, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Thompson, Henry Larson and Mrs. Randa Thompson of Eagle Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flugum of Geneva, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Juel Flugum of Emmons, Minn.; Mrs. Osta Thompson of Algona; and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rolfe of Britt.
