SAD NEWS COMES FROM NORTH DAK.

Faltin Elleflod, married to Jane Olson of Slater March 8th, Succumbs to Typhoid Fever.

Word reached Slater last week telling of the death of Faltin Elleflod at Bismark, N. Dak., after a brief illness. Mr. Elleflod will be remembered as the substantial North Dakota farmer who married Miss Jane Olson of the 8th day of March, the ceremony taking place in Des Moines.

Immediately after their marriage they left for the home awaiting them on a farm near Driscoll, North Dakota. Reaching Minneapolis they were detained for some time while Mr. Elleflod had his eyes treated. After a lapse of two weeks they reached Driscoll. It was not long before he complained of not feeling well. It was thought to be nothing more than a bad cold and nothing serious was anticipated.

There was a sudden change for the worse and the case was diagnosed as typhoid fever. To give him the best care possible he was removed to Bismark but he failed rapidly and died a short time after having reached the city. Slater friends extend the sorrowing wife their deep sympathy.
