Services Held for Alta C. Graeber

Funeral services for Alta C. Graeber, 79, of rural Sheldahl were held Friday, Nov. 22, in the Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid, Ia.

Rev. Harold Werley of the Sheldahl United Methodist Church conducted the services. Lester Moore sang two selections, "Heartaches: and "Under His Wings." Mrs. Bernard Swanson was the organist.

Pallbearers were Dennis Drake, Terry Peterson, Tom Peterson, Doyle Drake, Douglas Johnson and Brian Peterson.

Interment was in the Sheldahl Cemetery.

Obituary

Mrs. Graeber was born July 20, 1895, near Sheldahl, Ia., a daughter of the late Henry C. and Nellie Peterson. She died Nov. 18, 1974 at the Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames, Ia. She had been a resident of North Grand Care Center, Ames, Ia., since Sept. 20, 1974.

On September 4, 1919, she was united in marriage to Walter P. Graeber. She was a member of the Sheldahl United Methodist Church, Sheldahl United Methodist Church Women of 57 years, Eastern Star of Polk City, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Slater. Her parents; husband, Walter; sister, Grace and brother, John preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister Georgia Stephens of San Bernardino, Calif., nieces, nephews and other relatives.
