THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, 16 June 1887, page 1, column 4.
“DIED – At the residence of Mr. Finch, in Maxwell, Tuesday morning, June 14, of brain fever, Oscar, little son of Wm. Macy, aged three years. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church, Wednesday at 10 a.m., by Rev. Doty, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Maxwell cemetery. The bereaved parent has the sympathy of the entire community.”
