Services Here for Mrs. Soderstrom

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Soderstrom, 62, were held Monday, Dec. 18 at 2:00 p. m. in the Riis Funeral Home. Rev. Glen Drew pastor of the Methodist Church was in charge. He took his text from II Cor. 5:1-10. Mrs. Oliver Newman was the organist.

Burial was Mount Hope Cemetery at Madrid.

Obituary

Nellie Jane Soderstrom was born in Hiteman, Ia., Aug. 9, 1905 to Evan and Gwenilian Reese.

She was married in Madrid, Ia., to Ralph B. Soderstrom on Feb. 25, 1929. They lived in Sheldahl for about 35 years.

Mr. Soderstrom passed away in 1964. Also preceding her in death were two children, Marilyn Joanne and Charles Evan.

Mrs. Soderstrom had been employed in Ames, Ia., from 1953 until 1965 when she moved to Houston, Tex. where she resided with her only surviving daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Mary) Kirby. She is survived by three grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Sheldahl and was active in church work in Houston.

Nellie Jane Soderstrom passed away Dec. 14, 1967 at Houston, Tex.
