THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, September 20, 2005.

Connie Jo Robinson, 60 of rural Nevada died on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada with Father John Herzog officiating. Private family burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

Connie was born April 24, 1945, in Council Bluffs to Michael and Gerry (Cosgrove) Byers. She was a Nevada High School graduate. She married Larry W. Robinson on April 15, 1967, in Des Moines. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. She was a lifelong resident of Story County. Connie loved being with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed restoring and buying antiques and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, Robinson of rural Nevada; two sons, Jeff (Alena) Robinson of Nevada and their children, Dustin, Eric and Felicity, and Joe (Britney) Robinson of Iowa Falls and their son, Caleb; two daughters, Tracy (Scott) Zimmerman of Avoca and their son, Joshua Zimmerman and Monica Robinson of Nevada; one aunt, Vivian Semrow of Texas; brothers and sisters, Mick and Kay Byers of St. Joseph, Mo, Pat and Trish Byers of McCallsburg, Kate and the late Bill Nosbush of Mora, Minn., Charlie and Linda Byers of Huxley, Theresa Knott, Ceil and Dave Grossman, and Steve and Leslie Byers, all of Omaha, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, Earl and Inez Robinson; and one brother in law, Bill Nosbush.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary service.

A memorial fund has been established.
