Mrs. Mary McKim, 65, wife of I. M. McKim of northeast of Nevada, native daughter of Story county, died Thursday night at the Des Moines general hospital, where she had been taken a week ago for treatment and an operation for liver complications.

The husband and twelve living children were all at her bedside Thursday.

Funeral services and burial will be at Plover, where the family had lived for many years, only returning to this community in Marsh. Mr. McKim bought a small farm northeast of Nevada and had been busy improving it for a rural home.

Mrs. McKim, whose maiden name was Mary Hefley, a daughter of a pioneer Story county family, leaves besides her husband, twelve children and 29 grandchildren. The children are all married with the exception of the son Hal who lived at home and was assisting his parents in improving the home they had planned.

The children are Ray of Grand Island, Neb., Fred of Plover, Mabel Keller of Ackworth, Frank of Nevada, Donald of Ackley, William of Plover, Ike of Davenport, Mary Overrocker of Spencer, Edith Wright of Plover, Marion of Davenport, Marjory David of Perry and Hal who lives at home.

She also leaves two brothers, Aaron Hefley of Zearing and Ed Hefley of Ackworth.

While the body will be taken to Plover for the funeral and interment, the time was undetermined at noon today.

Mrs. McKim was remembered in Nevada as a girl who attended school here and it was here that she was united in marriage to Mr. McKim, son of another pioneer family.
