At the time of h is arrival in Ames he was a very sick man and nly because of his excellent constitution that he survived the journey. On Saturday the day he died he seemed to be some better but just before death he said that he thought he could not take his medicine and asked that his wife lift him up which she did. When he was raised he sank back on to his wife's shoulder and died without a struggle. The deceased was of an inventive turn of mind and had great ability in mechanical lines. His desire was to become an engineer but dying so young was unable to realize his aims. He was a loving husband and father and the bereaved ones have sympathy of the entire community.
