Dan Laning Dies Today (12 Feb 1947)

Dan W. Lanning, 112 East Avenue, died of pneumonia at 12:30 a.m. today in Mary Greely hospital. He had been a patient there for three days, but had been ill for several days.

Mr. Greeley was born June 9, 1904, in Ames and was a long time resident of Story county. He was the son of John E. and Nettie L. Lanning. At the time of his death he was in business at Zearing. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Adams chapel with Rev. Raymond Walker in charge. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal cemetery.

Survivors are a brother, David M. Lanning of Ames, and a sister, Mary Jane Parker of Elkhart, Ind.
