Seized While on Way Home From NeighborsShe succumbs before she can be taken home; discovered setting at roadside by doctor.
Physician sees woman setting by road on way to Nevada; offers assistance on return; leaves behind husband and five children to mourn.
Mrs. William Taylor, living two miles east of Ames on the Lincoln Highway, died last night as a result of an attack of heart trouble early last evening while en route to her home from the Frank Daley home east of the Taylor place. When she was stricken she was unable to make her way home.
She was found at the roadside by Dr. C.M. Proctor who was on his way home from Nevada. When found, she could hardly talk, being able to only say, in answer to a question as to where she was going "two houses west."
She was taken home by Dr. Proctor and died about the time she reached home. Mrs. Taylor had been a sufferer from heart trouble. She was walking home against the strong wind that was blowing last night and this, it is believed, brought on the attack.
When on his way to Nevada Dr. Proctor noticed her at the side of the road but supposed she was only resting. On returning and seeing her still there, he felt that something might be wrong and stopped his car to inquire of her.
Mrs. Taylor was 48 years of age.
She is survived by her husband and five children.
Funeral service will be held at the Methodist Episcopal Church here Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
The meeting of the W.H.B. Club, a rural club, which was to have been held Wednesday has been postponed on account of the death of Mrs. Taylor, who was a member.
