FORMER SLATER WOMAN IS DEAD

A message, telling of the death of Mrs. K. B. Rindo at her home in Des Moines, reached our people last Friday. The sad news came as a distinct shock to her many Slater friends, none of whom knew that she had been sick, and many were loath to believe the report. It proved only too true, however. She had passed away early that morning, the victim of pneumonia with which she had been affected one week.

The remains were brought to Slater for burial and funeral took place from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, the earthly remains bein laid to rest in the Bethlehem cemetery. The services were in charge of Rev. Ingvoldstad and a large crowd was in attendance. Special music was furnished by the choir and a male quartet and the services were very impressive throughout. Deceased was a member of the local congregation and had made her home in the very shadow of the church for many years.

Mrs. Rindo was born in Norway in 1851 and attained the age of over sixty years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. F. B. Graham, her only child, also of Des Moines. She is also mourned by a sister and a host of other relatives and friends who will remember Mrs. Rindo as a very considerate woman, kind and loving, with a spirit and heart that pulsated warmly for friends and acquaintances. She took an active part in church work and was in attendance a the dedication of the new M. E. church a short time ago.
