OBITUARY.
Mrs. Olena Frowick died at her home in Sheldahl, Iowa, Thursday morning of last week, aged 50 years, 11 months and 8 days. Death, the final end of all mankind, always strikes a sympathetic chord in friends of the deceased and casts a heavy load of sorrow upon loving relatives. Such were conditions last Thursday morning when the sad news reached the people of the sudden demise of Mrs. Frowick.
Deceased was born on a farm named Kalveland in Skjold, Norway, Feb. 18, 1848 and came to America in 1858. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Ole P. Frowick, in this county, and to this union 1 child was born which died in infancy. She was a kind hearted and christian woman, always ready to do some kind act. Her husband died about three years ago and her remains were placed beside those of him in the Slater cemetery last Saturday, Rev. Gjerstad conducting the services. Four sisters and one brother are left to mourn her departure: Mrs. L. E. Frowick, Mrs. J. V. Kalsem and Eric Cleveland, living in this township, Mrs. Thomas Watland of New Sharon and Mrs. Knut Cleveland of Gregory, Kan.
