Funeral Services Held For Severin A. Lande

HUXLEY -- Funeral services for Severin A. Lande, 63, were held at the Fjeldberg Lutheran church in Huxley on Friday, October 3, at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. M. H. Rye.

Margene and Patricia Erickson sang two numbers, "In the Garden" and "Jesus Will Walk With Me."

Burial was in the Fjeldberg cemetery.

Pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased Arnold Lande of Forest City, Ardo Lande of Huxley, Everett Lande of Jewell, Emory Lande of Wheaton, Minn., Archie Lande of Ames and Darrell Gene Lande of Albert Lea, Minn.

Obituary

Mr. Lande was born in Huxley May 10, 1889 and lived there all his life with the exception of the past five years, which were spent on a farm southeast of Ames.

He passed away at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames on Wednesday, October 1, from a lingering illness.

Mr. Lande was married November 14, 1912 to Clara Erickson of Huxley. To this union five children were born.

He is survived by his wife, Clara, three son Sherill, Cecil and Fred, all of Ames; four grandchildren and six brothers, Louis of Albert Lea, Minn., Jacob of Wheaton, Minn., Edward of Forest City, Tom of Huxley, Bentley of Ames and Andrew of Des Moines.

His parents, two daughter and one sister preceded him in death.
