Clementine Greer Dies Suddenly at Home Here Tuesday
Mrs. S. Clementine Greer, 916 Fifth St., died suddenly at her home Tuesday at 4 p. m. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She was 65 years of age.
Funeral services will be held from the Nevada Methodist Church Friday at 2 p. m. with Rev. James Dendler officiating. Burial will be in the Story Memorial Gardens at Ames. The body will remain at the Ryan Funeral Home until time of funeral services.
Survivors are the one daughter, Carolyn J. Beal, Nevada and three grandchildren, David and Madora Jo Beal both of Nevada and Thomas H. Greer of Torrance, Calif. Three sisters, Mrs. Della Atkinson of Des Moines, Mrs. Ivan Hickman of St. Joseph, Mo. and Mrs. Pearl Porter of Mercer, Mo. also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sons, one in infancy and Thomas N. Greer, Jr., who died Jan. 20, 1956.
The deceased was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church in which she had held several offices. She was born Oct. 31, 1896 in Mercer County, Mo., the daughter of Madora and Joseph Hampton. She had resided in Nevada for the past 38 years.
